USNA Second-Class Midshipman (2/C) Professional Competency Assessment (PCA) Practice Test

The department responsible for creating the daily flight schedule is Aviation Operations. This department plays a crucial role in managing all aspects of flight operations, including the planning, coordination, and scheduling of flights. They ensure that all flights are organized efficiently, taking into account factors such as aircraft availability, crew assignments, and any operational limitations or requirements. By overseeing the actual execution of flight activities, Aviation Operations is integral to maintaining the overall safety and effectiveness of aviation operations.

Aviation Safety provides oversight and guidelines to ensure that operations meet regulatory and safety standards, while Aviation Training focuses on preparing personnel for their roles. Aviation Maintenance is responsible for the upkeep and repair of aircraft, ensuring that they are airworthy, but they do not engage in the scheduling of flights. Thus, the responsibilities of the Aviation Operations department uniquely align with the task of creating the daily flight schedule.
